The Family Behind the Wedding Venue on the Hill

We're a local family that loves our community, our faith, and the people we meet along life's journey — and we built Primrose Hill to share all three.

Our Story

Family-Owned, Locally Operated, Genuinely Glad You're Here

Primrose Hill Wedding And Events is not a corporate venue portfolio — it's our family's land, and hosting your celebration on it is personal. We enjoy the wide-open country, the scenery, and this elegant barn, and we're excited to share them with others. That's not a marketing line; it's why the venue exists.

We're dedicated to making every event unique and memorable. Beyond weddings and quinceañeras, we've hosted corporate gatherings, local community events, church functions, and family reunions. Whatever brings 250 of your favorite people together, we're eager to help it go off without a hitch.

Every room in the barn is meticulously maintained and cleaned — from the selection of the chandeliers to the placement of the tree swings, nothing on the property is an afterthought. When you tour with us, you'll meet the people who will actually be there on your day, not a rotating events staff. Our coordinators plan in English and Spanish, and we've learned the traditions that matter to the families of North Texas — the vals at a quinceañera, the baraat at an Indian wedding, the quiet minute a couple steals on the balcony before the reception.

That's also why we only book one event per day. Your family shouldn't share the property with strangers, and neither should ours.

Tucked into the Rolling Hills of Grayson County

Primrose Hill sits on 20 acres of beautiful land in Van Alstyne, TX, surrounded by oak, pine, and cedar trees. Secluded from the outside world, the drive in says it all: over a natural creek, alongside a white ranch-style fence, and up to a two-story barn of over 9,700 square feet built from over-sized custom-cut cedar posts and beams.

There's abundant natural light by day, custom indoor and outdoor lighting by night, and real climate control for every season — ample heating in winter and, more importantly, serious cooling for the many months of Texas summer.

Outside, the land does the decorating for us: maintained flower beds, native oaks and cedars, wine-barrel accents, tree swings, and a second-story balcony that looks out over all of it. It's the kind of setting couples drive out from Dallas expecting to find in the Hill Country — and discover thirty minutes up US-75 instead.
